Apple is launching iOS 14.8 to the public today for iPhone users, only days before we hope that IOS 15 will also be launched to the public. Analytics and XCode data were previously suggested that IOS 14.8 was in development, and was safe enough, it is now being displaced with iPadas 14.8.
The compilation number for today’s release of IOS 14.8 is 18H17. You can update your iPhone when you go to the Configuration application, choose General, then choose the software update. Apple is also deploying iPadOS 14.8 for iPad users today too. However, IOS 14.8 was not tested beta, so this is a surprise release for users. The Apple version notes for the update simply say that “provides important security updates and is recommended for all users.”
Last year, Apple launched iOS 13.7 on September 1, only two weeks before the launch of IOS 14 to the public on September 16. Something else you should consider this year is that Apple has already announced that it plans to give users an option between the IOS 15 update as soon as it is released, or remain in IOS 14, but still receives significant security updates.
IOS now offers an option between two software update versions in the Settings application. You can update to the latest version of IOS 15 as soon as it will be launched for the latest functions and most complete security updates.
Continue with iOS 14 and still get important security updates until you are ready to upgrade to the next main version.
